Registration

The Bataviaschool aims to teach children between the ages of 5 and 11 to understand, speak, read and write the Dutch language as quickly as possible.

The Bataviaschool is a school that accommodates students temporarily. After a year till one and a half years of intensive education in the Dutch language, the children will go to a regular dutch school.

Before a child can be enrolled at the Bataviaschool, the parents must first register their child at a regular primary school (also known as 'stamschool'). The pricipal of that school reports your child to the 'Centraal Meldpunt Nieuwkomers'. After that, the parents will hear from the stamschool whether and when their child can be placed at the Bataviaschool. When there is room, the principal of the Bataviaschool will contact the parents to make an appointment to visit the school and register their child.
